Directions 4 Partners EMEA 2023 to be dominated by AI

Flashback to Directions EMEA 2023. It was a great edition this year, with 248 sessions and almost 3,000 participants from 70 countries. The various sessions mainly highlighted two major topics, though from different touchpoints.

AI, AI, AI and more AI 😃

AI, we cannot ignore it, and the possibilities are coming at us at a lightning pace. Hence all the buzz around Copilot, Microsoft's AI tool. The integration of Copilot in Dynamics 365 Business Central creates a lot of opportunities for the user.

Some practical examples that will already be available now, or very soon:

The automation of many repetitive tasks, saving the user time in day-to-day tasks.
Data retrieval will become much easier using "natural language". The user can formulate commands in spoken language. For example, you will be able to ask Copilot for Business Central; 'Give me the top five customers with highest achieved sales in the last quarter'. The result is immediately available without having to build a report for it.
Administrative processing is simplified and increasingly supported by Copilot. Because Copilot recognises texts, it can, for example, 'understand' which accounts belong to a transaction when reconciling. This makes the 'sometimes' boring processing a lot easier and less error-prone.
