You're probably familiar with this scenario: a customer calls to ask about the status of a specific order and whether it will be delivered that day. Customer satisfaction is important, so you want to give as clear an answer as possible. What often follows is a phone call to the logistics manager asking how things are going. The logistics manager then has to put aside their other work, with the inevitable frustration that entails, to check the status. They often have to check with another colleague to find out the status of a production step, for example.
f action still needs to be taken to get the requested item to the customer on time, then it's good that contact was made. But if everything is going according to plan, it's a shame that this requires the valuable time of several colleagues—especially when you could have seen it yourself without spending half an hour searching.
In Steel 365, we use statuses in various overviews. Not in the form of text, but based on clear symbols and colors. These statuses always follow the same logic, so you get a clear picture no matter where you look:

We provide the most comprehensive overview in Steel 365 on the sales order line screen. All current order lines can be found here. With a few (standard) filters or search queries, you can immediately display the lines for which you need information. For each line, you can see at a glance what the status is within the various production steps and what the logistical status is for shipping.
Everything is green but not yet shipped? Then you can assume that everything is ready in the warehouse to be shipped. However, if a line remains stuck at a certain status, you can click directly from this screen to the relevant production or logistics step to find out why it has not yet been executed. This allows you to identify possible input errors more quickly or make specific inquiries with the person responsible.

In addition to reacting to customer queries, a sales department can also proactively monitor sales rules on a daily basis to see if everything is going according to plan. This allows timely intervention if something gets stuck. Will the ordered stock arrive on time? Has the sawing order been fully specified? Or was the wrong quality accidentally entered when the order was entered? Steel 365 helps to provide the right insights.
Statuses in Steel 365 are used on various overviews and screens. In addition to the sales rules, you can also manage current incoming orders, warehouse shipments, and warehouse picks in a timely manner, and track in real time the extent to which transport orders have been loaded correctly.
In short, Steel 365 helps to minimize shortcomings.
